14 short weeks ago I was just a regular girl, living a fabulous life, but since the debut of The Real Housewives of Toronto, a lot has changed, but not how I expected. I never really thought of myself as “plus-size” I was always just, My Size, but debuting on TV with headlines such as “the first ever plus-size Housewife” and many interviews leading with questions about my body confidence, I realized I have a responsibility to help change the perceptions of beauty and what it means to be a stylish curvy woman. A huge part of that change is the growing and incredible support from all of you, my fans, my followers and now my ambassadors for the #MySizeRox movement. You have empowered me to change the way the world perceives women with curves, without curves, with small bums or large ones. You have given me a platform to change the way people judge bodies and beauty in the media, and I am so thankful. With your continued support and the growing energy around the #MySizeRox movement I have a feeling we are just getting started.14 weeks later I am still a regular girl leading a fabulous life, but now I am on a very clear and determined mission to ensure that my role on TV has a purpose that helps to inspire and change sizeism and judgement in fashion and media.

I have stayed at the Connaught about 5 times and its always perfect. The service is intimate and personal and the location is superb. I always stay in the rooms in the new side of the hotel as the bathrooms are gorgeous and luxe. This hotel has an elegant and luxurious London feel with the modern amenities you want in your hotel room.
The rooms are not huge (but good for London standards) but they are comfortable and have everything you want especially on the newer side. I don't care for the bathrooms in the older part of the hotel so my tip is to book on the new side. Also, the back bar is one of my fav in London and breakfast in the front room is perfectly English and wonderfully executed. I love this hotel.
At just three months old I took my first flight to Europe and I have been exploring the world ever since. During summer holiday’s my mother would take me to London with her to visit our family and from there we would travel to places like my God Mothers vacation home in the South of France, or my Aunt & Uncles home villa in Tuscany. I learned to ride a horse in the Welsh countryside and visited Euro Disney before ever seeing an amusement park in North America. Needless to say, since a young age I have always had a desire to see the world. At 25 I was offered an amazing advertising job in London, England and was living in an apartment in London three weeks later. Living in London allowed my friends and I to travel on weekends, jump on planes to exotic locations and truly start to travel the way we wanted to. Since then I have traveled all over the world, from West Africa to South East Asia and all the way back again. Along the way my tastes refined and I started documenting all my trips and reviews of the incredible restaurants, hotels and destinations I was visiting. I wrote so much that my Trip Advisor became one of the top accounts in the country and I was officially the go to person among my friends on where to visit for an incredible and luxurious vacation. I can not tell you how many of my friends booked their honeymoons based on my reviews. I believe that travel is one of the single most important investments you can make in life. A million times over I would choose to fill my life with rich experiences instead of material objects. Seeing the world, meeting new people, and truly experiencing different cultures is the most valuable education I have ever had. On my website I will share my reviews and experiences and I hope it inspires you to jump on a plane and explore a new city. Safe Travels xoxo Roxy
