14 short weeks ago I was just a regular girl, living a fabulous life, but since the debut of The Real Housewives of Toronto, a lot has changed, but not how I expected. I never really thought of myself as “plus-size” I was always just, My Size, but debuting on TV with headlines such as “the first ever plus-size Housewife” and many interviews leading with questions about my body confidence, I realized I have a responsibility to help change the perceptions of beauty and what it means to be a stylish curvy woman. A huge part of that change is the growing and incredible support from all of you, my fans, my followers and now my ambassadors for the #MySizeRox movement. You have empowered me to change the way the world perceives women with curves, without curves, with small bums or large ones. You have given me a platform to change the way people judge bodies and beauty in the media, and I am so thankful. With your continued support and the growing energy around the #MySizeRox movement I have a feeling we are just getting started.14 weeks later I am still a regular girl leading a fabulous life, but now I am on a very clear and determined mission to ensure that my role on TV has a purpose that helps to inspire and change sizeism and judgement in fashion and media.
Join the movement by posting your confident body positive messages and photos on social media with the hashtag #MySizeRox
I am so sick of being called “Plus-size” in the media so I have decided to change that. Firstly, I am My Size and My Size Rocks! I started the hashtag #MySizeRox as a response to anyone trying to fit me into a category of their idea of beauty. I hope this encourages people of all sizes to feel comfortable and confident in their own skin, at whatever size they are. Everyday I work towards being the best version of myself from the inside out and that includes adopting a mindset of self love, confidence and making healthy lifestyle choices. It is not easy, and I will tell you that it is a constant journey, but I am working hard daily to be the best version of myself. With the responsibility of the the platform I have been given I must practice what I preach. So here I am…..no makeup, no blowout, no covering up. You’ve helped me to feel proud, feel powerful and I am just getting started….so either get onboard or step aside. It’s a movement ladies! Tag me in your photos with the hashtag #MySizeRox and show me your confident, powerful photos!

When Real Housewives of Toronto star, Roxy Earle married financier Raghu Kilambi in a breathtaking Mexican wedding, it was nothing short of a fairy-tale. The couple took over the Belmond Maroma Resort & Spa in Playa del Carmen for four days allowing wedding planners to transform the already lush and exotic hotel into a glamorous celebration, not typical of a destination wedding. “People think casual when you say your getting married in Mexico, but we love glamorous entertaining and travel, so our wedding reflected that,” said the bride. Special details included the custom made glass aisle floating above the main courtyard’s fountain that the bride walked down, chandeliers hanging from palm tress and buckets of cascading white roses lining the length of the aisle. The reception featured more than 50,000 roses that filled every inch of the reception room, flown in especially for the location. “I was speechless when I took in the smell and the sight of all those roses, I had no words, I just began to cry,” said the bride. The wedding focused on giving guests the most romantic night the couple could dream up. “As travel is such a huge part of our lives we wanted guests to experience the refined Mexican luxury that made Maroma one of our favourite hotels in the world, we wanted guests to experience a place so special to us” said the groom. The décor celebrated the lush and romantic setting of the hotel with the entire property lit by candles the night of the wedding and roses were everywhere, even hanging from the ceiling to fuse the outdoor/ indoor space. The room was open to the ocean so the breeze and floral scents mixed with candlelight made for an incredible ambiance. No detail was overlooked, and the morning of the wedding all guest received ‘messages in a bottle’ within seashells that informed them of their table number. The table settings featured personalized monogrammed napkins with the guests initials to indicate their seat. A five-course gourmet Mexican meal featured lobsters caught that morning and a beautiful dessert tray inspired by old world elegance. Grammy winning artist Skylar Gray was brought in to serenade the couple with her rendition of Thank You by Led Zeppelin and guests danced the night away to tunes from hometown celebrity producer/DJ Boi1da. This rose infused wedding capped off with guests sipping rose and dancing long into the hours of the morning.
Although it rained most of the day, it was so cozy to sit under the candle-lit chandeliers and hanging loose greenery at the reception. The fairy-tale like evening was filled with heartwarming stories, laughter and cheering for the newlyweds. The biggest surprise of the night was a stage with fifty thousand (!) pink and red roses forming an epic gradient backdrop. Skylar Grey and Boi-1da performance was the second and final surprise of the wedding day to sing to the couple during their first dance and later again to end a fantastic night on a high note. Roxy and Raghu, thank you both so much for taking care of us. I hope you are having a time of your life as husband and wife.
